Headlight Switch Not Working, I don't think it's receiving power

Hey all, I'm having an issue where my headlight switch is not working at all. The headlights just permanently stay on all the time. The lights aren't lighting up and I've even tried another switch and the same thing happened. Anyone know where I should be looking for a wiring issue? I believe this is the reason my Night View assist won't work either. Thanks for any input.

I wonder if you worked out what was wrong with your light conundrum.

I am having the same with mine 🤣 lights stay on regardless night / day, the switch itself doesn't respond to any input and not lighted up whatsoever.

That is hilarious. Is the clock on the CAN network? Something must short to high/low and that would also suggest the codes wouldn't be too helpful but curious if there are any.

What happens if you just unplug the clock? Not suggesting a fix but interested in failure mode.

I have a 2010 E550 and a 2013 S550, both with the same light switch with the same issue, i.e. you can put the switch to "0" but the main head light stay ON. And like I said, both of my cars behave exactly the same. The only difference between the switch in the "0" and "AUTO" positi0ns is that in "0" the high beams come ON with the adaptive high beam control enabled.

But, there is a way to make the switch do what it should do in the "0" position.....disable the DRL. This will make the light switch do what the markings around it tell, it just is that with this you do not haver DRLs.

Wonder if these clock changers checked that their DRLs are still enabled after tinkering with wiring and such so that the DRLs did not get disabled somehow and the switch started working like it should?

I really don't have need to turn the head lights OFF but if I need this I will just disable the DRLs and turn the switch to "0".

I don't think this is a switch problem as both of my cars behave exactly the same. It must be programming issue that MB never fixed.
