Hello all new to the mercedes family, so here we go purchased a 06 e350 car needed the balance shaft replaced so after the repair i now have several codes pcode 2015,0341,0356,3006, so after checking timming several times all timming marks are spot on teplaced the #6coil and plug still misfiring. Any helpful advice is helpful. Also after putting thw engine back together i have and extra sensor wire thats not plugged in the sensor plug comes off of the same loom for the thermostat.this may be my intake runner fault not sure where the plug goes. If it's two wire connector then perhaps this connector is connect to themostat, the perpurse of wiring on themostat just indicate OPEN/CLOSE state of the themostat thanks to the swith inside themostat then therefore this problem should not impact to misfire.
When you do balance shaft replacement, ensure timing is setup propoerly: there are 04 mark on timing chain, mark on balance shaft, mark on crank shaft, mark on 04 cam gears (each cam gear has 03 marks + mark by R&L letter on the intake cam gear), mark on pulse wheel (stamp and dot mark). you need to check camshaft timing by rotare crank shaft to 305o position and remove 04 Cam sensors to check the stamp and make sure it located in center of the sensor hole.
So let me explain this again I have already done my balance shaft, and all trimming marks are spot on , let me state that again all marks are dead on numbers on each pulse wheel are centered, so after some more digging I believe my intake gasket on the #6side of the block has moved upon installing it car only has a mis when at idle which tells me the issue is a vacuum leak.so can anyone tell me where this wire goes once the thermostat is plugged in then this plug has no where to plug in due to its length aaaarghhhh.
