Engine mounts - Advice neded!
Hello guy's
It's time to change the engine mounts on both of my cars, 2009 W221 S500 & 2005 C215 CL55.
Initially i wanted to go for Lemforder mounts but then some people spooked me. They said that after market mounts are just not worth it and have bad quality and i should only opt for original engine mounts.
The big dilema is that the Lemforder mounts are 57$ each and original are 155$ each.
Any of you had expierience with these engine mounts? is there really such a big difference between the after market and original mounts?
Any advice would be appriciated

I just installed the Lemforder kit, which looks identical to OE ones I took out. Buy them here and they have a lifetime warranty. https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/mer...der-2112400517

Just went and looked at my OE mounts. They have the Star logo on the bottom, but in the rubber it has Boge, which I believe is a division of Lemforder.

"Still interesting. I just went out to the garage to take a look at the Lemforder mounts I purchased last week from the dealer.
The box is marked "Lenforder is a brand of ZF". The label on the box includes "ZF services. www.zf.com". Checking the mount itself, cast into the rubber is "Boge".
I don't know the relationship between the two but I'm lead to believe that Boge private labels for ZF/Lemforder."
If thats true, are the Lemforder the same quality as the Original MB ones? it's still a dilema for me.

I looked them over pretty well and could see no difference. I think you'll be fine with the Lemforder. The only upgrade I would consider is to the black series, which was made for the CLK 63 AMG. https://blog.fcpeuro.com/why-you-sho...-engine-mounts

I was thinking really serious about the Black Series mount's. I got a better price from my europian part dealer for Black series mounts cheaper then the normal original one's.
Black series mounts i will definitely get for my CL55 AMG. But for the S500 i will go for the Lemforder.
