MISFIRE

diagnostics will tell you exactly what's wrong - the coil packs die all day long....
move to a different plug the codes will go to the new location so must be the coil... 15 mins work

Yes. Bad, clogged, or stuck fuel injectors can do it also, or one or more a bad injector O-rings. Misfire is not always spark related. In fact, I have a shop pulling and flushing my injectors now for misfire codes, and it's not the coil packs or plugs (or the voltage converter either).

2007 S600, 2007 Chrysler 300 SRT8, 2000 C5 Corvette, and 2017 Mustang GT, and just got a 2023 300C
I get a transient P0300 with a P1170 and a P0422 mostly when I use discount gas with less than 92 octane. Engine runs fine but she will throw those codes and set a yellow check engine light. If I use a bottle of Techron and brand name premium gas, the CEL turns off. I can also simply clear the codes but they will come back the next time the gas is crappy.
