Hi guys, have a weird non starting issue. 2010 S550 4matic with push to start feature. Just got it a couple months ago(very happy with it!) and up to this point everything was working great( FYI, put a new battery in when I got the car). The other morning when to start it and the battery was dead, or at least two weak to start the car, not sure why, didn't see that I left anything on or open, tried using the jumping box but got no response so put a charger on it. Once charged up same situation, pushed button while foot on the brake no response from the starter although all the lights on the dash went on. Everything else works as normal IE key fob locks and unlocks the car, I can lock and unlock the car from touching the door handle so on and so forth. Played with the shifter lever a lot thought that that might be affecting something, was able to put the car in and out of drive neutral etc while key in the on position and then back to park but still no response from starter, tried pulling the start button out and starting it with the key alone, same thing, lights go on but no response from the starter whatsoever and battery is 100% fully charged. Any advice on where to look first. Thank you all in advance and happy happy holidays to everyone!

I would replace starter motor first. Your car is 10 years old and it probably went out. Mine is about 8 years and is showing symptoms of going.
If you want to troubleshoot you should get under the car and measure voltage to the starter solenoid wire (the small wire at starter) when someone else try to start the car. If it gets battery voltage but starter does not move your starter or starter solenoid (which are built together) went out.
Your engine is the same as I have in my 2010 E550. I changed starter on it myself. Bought starter with life time warranty from AutoZone. Cost about $250.
I already have a new starter for my 2013 S550 in the trunk of the car but have not had time to do the job yet.
if you are not DYI and take it to the dealer the bill will be $1000+. Just the starter from them is around $550.
I'm having the same issue. I had a brand new battery in the car and it would not start. I checked the voltage and it was at 12.5V so nothing wrong there. So I tried disconnecting the ground cable on the main battery, waited 15 sec's, and reconnected it. It started right up. Like something got reset? Still havn't figured why it does that but it happens maybe once every other month.
