Power steering malfunction see owners manuel is on the dash...what is this about? Anyone I checked the steering reservoir it dry on the dip stick. I filled it up..the steering malfunction went away for a few seconds and came back.....the steering is still hard to turn.
I guess its ABC car, these need regular servicing with fluid and filter changes or the dampers wear our (with the debris causing seal damage), if its ABC the power steering and the ABC share the same reservoir and I think pump
It sounds like the system needs to be bled. Clear the code and then clock the steering wheel from left to right, lock to lock. Check the fluid and add as needed, repeat.
Its combination of both. You should be able to hear the pump motor working when you turning the wheel. It felt harder then usual then just went bad out of nowhere while doing 80 mph on the highway
hopefully its a fuse in your case because that pump costs 2.5k
