Canadian S450
- 4.7L V8 engine, 335hp, 339 lb-ft torque
- 4-Matic standard
- 130mm (5") shorter wheelbase which drives unique body structure &rear doors, unique interior trim on rear doors & carpet
- No rear zone for heating & air conditioning
- Slightly better rear head room (5mm)
I am not a M-B expert. What other vehicles is this naturally aspirated 4.7L V8 used in? I'm concerned about spark plugs, coils, normal consumables
Can someone educate me on the standard content of the S450?
Here are pictures of this 2011 S450:

NAPA's website (www.napaonline.com) does show the S450 as a selection. I compared some consumables and found the spark plugs, coil packs, air & oil filters are shared between the 4.7L NA V8 and 5.5L NA V8. Front brake corners are shared between S450 and S550. That is good news. The accessory drive belt and tensioner are different.
Rebuild Master Tech shows the S450 is equipped with Airmatic air springs.

Applications:

Spark plugs, coils and filters should be no problem to source.
Propshaft couplings and joints should be available. Halfshafts and rear differential should be common with W221 from the same era.
Buy WIS/EPC/ASRA from ebay and you will find parts info that you need.
