Michelin AS 3

Looks like the Michelin AS 3 are on their way out. What is everyone using instead?

Depends on the weather
My favorite tires (A/S 3+) . They are still readily available though but yes, have to find a replacement.

I just replaced the Michelin as/3 275/35/R20 on the rear axle with a pair of these I LOVE THEM !!

with these Mucho Macho 275/35/R20 and they are much smoother and quieter.

2007 S600, 2007 Chrysler 300 SRT8, 2000 C5 Corvette, and 2017 Mustang GT, and just got a 2023 300C
Tirerack.com was doing heavy ads today for the new Michelin PS4 all season.

My opinion, NO MICHELIN, NO PIRELLI, NO CONTINENTAL.

With anybody else you have better chance to get a good tire with decent price. The big name tires have priced their quality out. I do not know about Goodyear or Bridgestone as I never had those. I did have a set of Firestone but they cracked all over. This was not dry rot. It was big wide cracks all over the tires. I would not buy that brand again either.

There are other tires. I bought Nitto 555 G2 tires and they are just awesome for the price. These are summer tires so no go for most folks but anyone driving in just summer condition these are very good. The thread pattern looks loud but it is very quiet. And wet grip outperforms any Michelin or Pirelli or Continental. Wet grip is what matters most to me and should for most drivers on the road.

I have a set of Generals on my S550 and my BMW 6 Series and I absolutely love them. I want to put a set on the GL550 I recently picked up.
