w221 does not start
Hi,
I have this 2011 S350 W221 that does not start unless i disconnected the battery for a couple of seconds, it was doing it for sometime but within long intervals, until last week it stopped working at all.
got it scanned and suspected the ISM got a used one virginized it and still the car will not start and the shifter will not move to any gears.
after fitting the new (used) ISM and resetting the codes it started shifting but no start. any ideas ?
i am thinking it might be the ignition switch

you can't guess on a vehicle of this type and hope a replacement part may help - yes when its a side light you can work it out... but the complex stuff didn't make sense to those building it, let alone a customer with few skills 9 years down the road at home
