ABS pump module repair

Hello everyone,

I wanted to share my experience on getting my ABS pump module repaired. There have been numerous posts about the Abs pump/module becoming faulty. Well I recently decided to search the internet for a place that could possibly repair the unit. I found a company called Repair-Laboratory who were located in California. Like everyone on here I was weary about this service since I wasn’t sure it was the pump or module that needed repair. I spoke to the owner of the company and explained to him what the issues were with my ABS system . The owner went onto say that 99% of the time it was the module and not the pump that needed to be repaired. He said the cost would be $280 plus $8 for return shipping. After speaking to him I decided that I wanted to email him an additional question if I could send the abs unit in so that both could be checked to see which was causing the issue. The owner said no problem send the unit in and we will check it out for you. Well a few weeks went by as I was and if I was going to send the entire unit or just module in for . On December 6th I decided to ship just the module in for repair. Well it took 7 days to get to California using USPS which was my fault cause I should have used FedEx or ups faster service. Once it arrived at the repair facility it was immediately worked on and repaired. After the repair was complete it was shipped out the same day as it arrived and I received it yesterday (dec 17). I was pretty excited to install the module back onto to the pump to see if it was repaired and I no longer had any abs issues. There is only one tricky part of removing/installing the module and it’s the small torx screws that go through holes on the bottom of it so that it attaches to the pump. Once I installed the torx screws I turned on the car and I had more lights on my dashboard lit up than Clark Griswold had on his front lawn in the movie National lampoon’s Christmas vacation. Lol … I decided to use my obd scanner and just clear all the codes and start off with a clean slate. Once I cleared the codes I decided to go for a hour long drive to do visit a family. Well after driving hour or so and turning off/on the car I can report that I have no more abs codes nor do I have any issues anymore with abs system. I totally recommend this company to repair your module. Make sure to have the exact obd codes pertaining to the abs unit and email them to the company so that can tell you if that’s the module issue or pump. I hope this posts helps on here who experience this issue. Below is the link to this company if anyone needs it.
