If you see this sometimes when shifting into reverse, I know what the problem is and its an easy fix. Do not take to the dealer until you first try this.
If you don't see the images behind your car in reverse sometimes and sometimes you do, it very likely a wire in the trunk is being slowly cut. When you do not see the image, but you do see the colored guidelines on the display, this video will help you determine if the wire is being cut. It's due to the wire being held by a plastic grommet in the trunk which is slowly cutting the wire. That's why it shows a picture sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. I made a before video and an after video.
