I'm ready to wrench!

Just purchased a set of spark plugs, air filters and cabin filters for my 08 S550. Getting ahead of the preventive maintenance curve, and trying to gain some confidence on owning a $100K car! I'm pumped.

2007 S600, 2007 Chrysler 300 SRT8, 2000 C5 Corvette, and 2017 Mustang GT, and just got a 2023 300C
Go for it. There is nothing better than a well maintained Mercedes. Finest car in the World.

S500
stick a CPS on it before it stutters and stalls - less than $50 and easy to do, and do the suspension level sensor link rods - unless u have ABC

S550
Just replaced all of my plugs and lower ignition coil boots on my 2012 S550 with 70K miles. I destroyed two of the lower boots while trying to remove the coil packs, so I ordered eight new lower boots. At $12.00 each this was a no brained. Disconnecting the electrical connectors at the top of the coil packs required a lot of pressure while pushing to the side and pressing on the gray release buttons at the same time. Two suggestions that I have would have is to pack the area below the plugs with a lot of rags to catch fasteners and tools that will fall into the abyss of the lower splash shields, ask me how I know. The second would be to use a lockable extension at the spark plug socket or you may have a tuff time removing the socket from the top of the spark plugs, ask me how I know. Study internet video’s, have the right tools and take your time. If you are somewhat handy with a wrench you can save a good amount of money on this cars that are expensive to repair. To add insult to injury, I just finished my plugs and my “check brake wear” warning light is lite! When their finely tuned there is nothing that drives better then a big Benz.
