too high an oil level isn't healthy - quite std on Merc tractors when the DPF re gens aren't successfully happening - it fills the sump with tractor fuel

Kon,

That sensor has been replaced twice in 3 months. There has to be another issue. I also had Benz ninja run xentry and for some reason it doesn’t communicate with the fuel pump. Doesn’t even recognize it being attached. Could it be the fuel pump module. Any advice would be great. I attached a picture of what I think I need to replace. The fuel gauge doesn't go all the way too fuel when I gas up. I haven’t replaced the fuel level sensor on the right side yet..

Are you replacing sensors with New parts OEM Dealer or ebay parts? That might be your answer.

So the driver’s side sensor is 100% Oem. I have not replaced the passenger side one but as indicated the “left” side one keeps reporting an error. I bought the first left side sensor from Mercedes and when I got the error code again I brought back the sensor and showed the parts guy a picture of the error code. He gave me a new one fuel level sensor and I installed it. Not even a day later I got the dtc2045 code again. So I am not sure if the computer can differentiate between the left/right side fuel level sensors but my only other option is to replace the right side sensor now to see if that changes anything.
