Im gonna say thats a photochop. Im thinking the right one is trying to be the "new" AMG? Tailpipes are straight off the current one, as are the side skirts. The rear bumper isn't what they would put on an AMG car, not aggressive enough.

I don't know what to think of the I-Drive. I will always miss the shifter being in the middle. However, I-Drive isn't that bad to use. It has to be executed correctly to fulfill it's potential. MB better have quick controls to Audio/HVAC on the Dashboard, instead of I-Drive. I think that was BMW's biggest mistake in the 7.

I cannot get myself to belive that is the new S-class interior. I actually refuse too. Its IDENTICAL to the 7 pretty much.
And jeez, Bangle is looking like a genius, as this is another car with the trunk molded on the car like a back-pack.

I can't believe that, after finally getting it right and going to soft keys on the 2005 COMAND system, that MB would go back to twist-and-push menu selection.

guess we've to accept that's how the new s-class interior's gonna be. the chrome-accented wood and the steering wheel are dead giveaways. indeed sad to see it looks so like the 7--i'm hoping it will look much more graceful when it's fully trimmed. i was hoping they might do something really crazy like having no air vents for the aircon (a la phaeton) but that doesn't seem likely.

quite worrying seeing there're almost NO BUTTONS on the dash itself! that might satisfy journalists who'll label it "nice and clean" but definitely NOT everyday users. i guess soft keys would be difficult to use when the screen's in that position. still, merc is using nokia to design this new system, so it should be very user-friendly and logical. let's hope they get this right: they've only got one shot at it!

Yeah, MB has no mistake of messing this up. Granted its their first time using their version of I-Drive, but they better fix the flaws that are shown in BMWs. I've test driven the 7 and 5, and I don't feel that I-Drive would take long to learn. However, there are lots of controls that don't need to be built into the system. If they get rid of buttons, maybe they will offer an easy to use Voice activated system for other controls? Lexus has done well to not go into BMW's direction.

I had a 745, and it didn't take that long to learn. But I never got to the point where I could do something the least bit complicated without looking at the display, even with the haptic feedback from the knob. With the 2005 COMAND, I can hit a few soft keys and usually get what I want, and, after doing it a few times, I know what the labels are and don't have to look at the screen.

At first I was going to be relieved thinking to myself that this could simply be the interior of a newer 7 series...but once I spotted that red hazard button my hopes came to a saddened halt. Oh well, there's always other Mercedes' to consider...

They were thinking, "Diomn this 7-series interior is foine! We gots to do us some blatant copying to keep up with the times!" (but in German, of course).

Yeah, seriously. Let's hope Lexus doesn't copycat either of these trends (although the Bangle trunk design does allow for a much larger/wider trunk opening and storage space).

Hey this one is actually nice looking. I just don't like the exhast, but thats a nice body. I like the trunk and the taillights, very nice!
It doesn't have those HUGE lines on the fenders like all the other Spy Pics which scares me. Look below at the Fender lines
