How to replace front AGM battery? W221 facelift
Hey,
the starter battery of my S500 2011 facelift is almost dead and needs to be replaced. I already have a spare battery but I can't get the defective battery removed.
On the right side of the battery is a management module that covers a screw that I have to loosen to be able to remove the battery.
This battery type is not stored in my WIS (03/2022). That's why I can't find any suitable instructions. On Youtube I can only find videos where batteries are replaced without this module getting in the way.
I can't pry the module off the battery with a screwdriver.
Can someone please explain to me how I can disassemble the module from the battery to remove the battery?

2008 single battery cars squash the battery in the front and its horrible... the early twin battery cars there's a mass of nothing, it only a 200mm long 35 amp hour battery.... just about to swap out my original 2006 front battery - its just starting to complain in the cold

@Aiskalt - Did you get it done?
A short description:
1. Press the module away from the battery using a wedge
2. press the two clamps of the module holder in the direction of the battery with 2 long slotted screwdrivers and fix both screwdrivers with one hand
3. with the other hand grab the two thick red plus cables and pull the module up and out of the holder
I hope this helps you. Otherwise I can also go into more detail on individual points.
