Hello,
So I have a question that someone might be able to help me with. I recently posted that my hood sensor was saying that my hood was open but then I noticed a plastic trim around the new locking mechanisms that were installed by my mechanic that I don’t believe were around the mechanisms prior. I only remember seeing one on the driver’s side locking mechanism. Can someone kindly check and see if they have this plastic trim both locking mechanisms or just one. I will attach a picture to show you what I am speaking about.

So I found this picture on the internet. It seems that the passenger side hood locking mechanism doesn’t have the plastic trim around. That might be why the lock mechanism hood sensor is not engaging?
