Plastic roof rail popped up at rear
2013 S550 -- Is this the part to replace to get it refastened? I can't find any descriptions for the plastic trim piece or the faster at all.
Bracket - Mercedes-Benz (221-650-00-55)

Yes. I'm sorry. I got off my *** yesterday ande went to the dealer's Body Shop and had them identify the part and then walked over to the parts counter and bought it for $4.60 and I'm supposed to pick it up today because it's just arrived from Dallas. They were extremely helpful.

That was a tricky gizmo to put in. It doesn't actually attach to the roof, but slides under two lips inside the rail gutter. And the replacement has an integrated wedge that tightens the clip when you get it in the right location. After you get it pretty tight you still might have to push it one way or the other to get it perfectly lined up with the tongue that comes down from the rail. And then it takes an incredible amount of pressure to pop it into the clip. A hammer and many rags did it for me. Without damage and it is perfect.
