'P/S' Idler
I had the upper grooved belt idler lock up on my wife's 2011 S550 yesterday. Of course it destroyed the belt, but also must have gotten hot enough to take the grooves off of the large idler that sits in the P/S pump location. I looked up the parts on EPC and there is a note with each of the idler components: Important Information, for parts see: M20/045. I have never seen a note like this in EPC and I don't know where to look for the M20/045 document. Any ideas? I'm guessing that there is some incompatibility like the old cap won't fit the new idler, it needs to be shimmed, or something like that. I can't find a P/N on the idler, but the bracket P/N matches EPC.
