Both the metal keys that came in the remotes with the car fit the trunk and glovebox locks but not the door lock. I have the lock out now. Besides taking it to a locksmith, anyone know how to take apart the lock cylinder so I can make the key fit? I don't really care if I gut the inside and make it so any key will work, just so that A key will work.
looks like a roll pin at the end of the lock in the picture - a roll pin is a spring steel bit, a lot like a split pin (which I gather you wrongly call a cotter pin in the USA), except these expand about its circumference to stop them falling out - u tap them out with a drift - if the whole is blind u drill them out - often with the housing as a replaceable part
