Reprogram Key?

Reprogram Key?
Main battery died in 2008 CL65. Took about a week or two to replace it. Doors will not lock/unlock with fob and car will not start with keyless go button but will with key inserted.
Do I need to go to stealer to key reprogrammed?

If it starts with the key, it's still programmed. I think you're having power issues in your key fob. Put in a fresh set of batteries. If that doesn't fix it, pop out the batteries and the chip and clean all the connectors and contact points. An Indy can diagnose and handle anything on the car side. If you need a new key fob, only the dealer can make one that's compatible with Keyless Go.

I thought that maybe the batteries in fob could be weak even though I changed them a couple of months ago. I replaced with fresh batteries and same result. If I press a hold both the lock and unlock buttons until the lights flash the fob will lock and unlock the doors and trunk momentarily but doesn't work for long.
Funny thing is the spare key works just fine.
