Refreshing front and rear

I have to say it drives so much better, tighter, more responsive, smoother, much less external vibration. Planning to drive it to Florida very soon.
Just bumped up my extra insurance policy with Haggerty to stated value of $35,000. My other personal plan would have blue booked it at $6500 and totaled it for a scratch on the fender. I just won a bid for a 2007 S65 on Haggerty auction $15,250 plus fee only to walk into a seller reserve at $34,000 and get zip. So I know my car is worth more than blue book.
But she runs like the wind now. Cannot wait to get it out on the interstate highways.

Smile Refreshing front and rearSo you guys already know how obsessive I am about my 2007 S600. Now with 93K miles, I decided to refresh suspension components. I ordered from FCP Euro a W221 ABC Lemforder control arms kit, upper and all lower arms and thrust arms. Really nice components. Lifetime warranty. Also asked to have my drive shaft connector rubber plates replaced. And while he was working on it, he repaired my leaky windshield washer reservoir which was a constant irritant. And of course, once that was sealed; it popped a leak in the hose up to the windshield; and after that was repaired it popped a leak in the headlight washer hose (tons of plastic hose all brittle). I am now operational again.

That's good to hear your car now drives like new

I know what it feels like when you replace those parts that need to be replaced
Happy Safe Driving

Agreed about the suspension refresh...what a difference. The steering wheel shaking suffered by many here also went away. It already drives like a new car, but I'm going to keep going and add more new suspension components (upper control arms/front) and start doing the rear components. The cost is quite minimal, if doing it oneself. I've picked up quite a few components now sitting on my garage shelf at Rock Auto (good stuff, not junk) at great prices, as they seem to be closing out many older MB components.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG

I also plan to stockpile two more ignition coil packs from Clark just in case he decides to retire again. I don't think I would do the coil over replacement. I really like the ABC.
