Code P2099 with Check Engine Light








Highly recommend.




The other stuff I use in a can is LiquidMoly (MoS2) at every oil change. Once again, I scoffed at snake-oil but after one can in the engine; my very smooth engine was incredibly quieter. You cannot even tell the engine is running at idle.

Once the PCM (power train control module - AKA engine management ECU) enters closed loop operation (where the amount going in is controlled via the readings of the CAT sensors), if the bank 1 or 2 downstream O2 sensor circuit input readings reflect too few oxygen molecules in the exhaust (aka its running too rich), a P2097 or P2099 code will be stored and a malfunction indicator lamp may be illuminated.
