Thanks !
Mileage is low given age of the car but I would have it serviced anyway if there's no maintenance records . Yours is not an M278 , but can be upgraded anyway if you like
Happy Driving
OEMTools oil extractor
Mann Freciousplus cabin filters, do them every six months, cleanest air in the industry, period
Hengst oil filter is superior to the Mann one I find, the air filters can match Hengst are great
Stockpile Valeo wipers, I find myself replacing them every 6 months I'm addicted to a clean/silent wipe on a car like this. I usually keep 2 sets and replace the MOMENT one wiper starts skipping
Chemical guys leather cleaner/protector, car smells BRAND NEW all the time, best chemicals on the market, you can take 10 years of filth off in 10 seconds on the steering wheel
Buy the 722.9 ATF adapter for your car for transmission service, it's $8 on Amazon, along with the quart Slippery Pete handpump, to do your own $800 transmission service for $160.
The car only drives as nice as the tires on it. Michelin AS4 or Continental DWS06+, nothing else will do honestly. Everything else rides hard, goes out of balance, chunks out, or has tire growl
Brakes wear out really fast on these cars and its expensive to use OEM. Swap them to the Z23 setup on Rockauto, the ceramic pads will last over 60k miles. I have never ever replaced a set of ceramic pads.
Replace your sway bar links in the front every 2 years. They go out real bad, use FCPEuro for the lifetime replacement. I have never paid for more than my original Lemforder set from them for 3 years on multiple MB's now
The cars are picky about batteries, if you are going through a battery every 3 years, it's completely normal.
Do NOT only swap pads on these cars. The rotors are thin and drilled so they get wavy and you can hurt the new pad with the old rotor.
Change oil every 10k, sooner if you want to. The recommended factory interval does not factor city driving or adverse conditions. 7500 is about where I normally go since my oil starts cooking off.
This is my link if you want to buy Amsoil products for your car specifically, make sure you sign up for the Preferred Customer program to save 25% off. It supports the forum and it supports me. It's cheaper than buying oil at the parts store and the products are very good quality. It's a one-stop shop for superb lubrication, cleaners, filters, and most importantly I feel the ATF for our cars is phenomenal. I used their DCT fluid in my GTS with wonderful results, run the ATF in my S and G.

Do you just drain and refill the amount drained?
youll drain 5.5, you want to fill to 6, let it drain while running, then fill 1 more, run it through the gears, let that drain while running, to flush the old stuff out. its called "rinsing" and its a technique Pentosin and myself use.
and for the sake of anybody about to me on the job, you're supposed to measure the temp of the transmission either thru Xentry or an external temp gun, ive seen the difference in fluid, it doesn't matter.
