If you mean the pump for the turbo intercoolers, I still have my original in place from 2007 and my understanding is Mercedes upgraded the part under a newer number. I just bought one from FCP but haven't installed it yet. Here is the link:

$147 delivered, lifetime warranty.

I wonder if this is the same pump or a different design with higher capacity? I am also always concerned about ebay. Totally your call but new for $147 with a lifetime warranty vs. $71 for a used ebay part is a toss up......
Isn't it self-evident? I looked at doing this on a W166 it looked straightforward. Take the old one out, put the new one in.
@clb0099 what is your specific question after inspecting your vehicle’s pump installation?

Usually, no. The heat is controlled by a heater water control valve at the back of the engine near the windshield wiper motor. It is notorious for the plastic connections failing. Typical failure is first cold day when you need heat and all it does is blow cold. Ask me how I know!
The aux pump sends water through the intercoolers to keep the charge cool on the turbos.

it’s not as straight forward as you think.. the part is pretty much wedge in there. There has to be a better way.

I have 2009 S550 W221 ... Please be more specific (photos would be appreciated) ... where is the auxiliary coolant water circulation pump located? I believe it is wedged in somewhere (since I do not see it) but where is it wedged in?
