Exclamation P2626 - How do I change this o2 Sensor??

Hi all,

Currently getting a P2626 code, for sensor 1 bank 1 (So Drivers side, upstream?). This sensor is positioned in a way that I literally can't ever touch it, it's like in the middle of the firewall. I found some information, attached below, about how to do it. But it just says "Replace it" not any real directions...

Does anyone know how to get to it without talking the whole engine or exhaust out?

Also, when the code comes up, you get a check engine light, and at idle speed a sort of engine sputter-jerking motion. But when I clear the code the car is completely fine, and runs normally.

Thanks
2012 S550

If the instructions say take off the bottom paneling then the way to get to the 02 sensor is from the bottom not the top. My experience is that the instructions from WIS are usually spot on.

That's what I thought as well, the WIS are very accurate, but I don't know how I'm supposed to reach the upstream sensor... If anyone has some tips please let me know.

Are you saying you took off the two bottom paneling pieces and you can't put your hand on any of the sensors?

Thumbs up

Ok, I finally got it done, and the P2626 code is gone after replacing my O2 sensor (Bank 1 Sensor 1 upstream in my case).

Below I attached a guide I made on how to change this sensor, it's simple on paper but working in tight spaces makes things very hard.

Good luck and let me know of any questions!!
