What is the difference between gearbox tcu, Vgs2 and vgs3?
My vehicle is "vincode wdd2211711a035451"
w221 model 2008years
What is the difference between gearbox tcu, Vgs2 and vgs3?
And it's a vgs2 mounted model on 722.9 and is there no problem in operating normally even if I install a new vgs3 tcu?

VGS2 (5-pin) can be replaced by a VGS3 (4-pin) but the problem is coding it to the car.
Event with online SCN coding people get mixed results.

There is absolutely no problem in programming a new VGS3 into your 2008 model. No problem at all. If you order a new one from the dealer, you will get VGS3 made by Continental now with updated speed sensors. If you need more guidance send me a PM.
