I have a 2007 S550, 167K miles with multiple issues, one of which is the info/entertainment system. Bought this vehicle as a repo and continue to work on the other issues.
It does not appear to have an "AUX" connector for bluetooth in the glovebox as does my '06 ML500 and my '08 GL550. Also the entertainment unit is completely different than the two previously mentioned vehicles
I am trying to do some research for this particular year/model, but still running into issues.
1. Radio seems to work fine, with sound
2. Cannot seem to find an "AUX" setting as I scroll thru "Audio" setting
3. I have read that there is supposed to be a "puck" in the center console, but I have yet to confirm that, even tho I have read that this is only for phone calls
4. I have read many complaints abt MBZ not sorting these issues before with regards to bluetooth, so I am not surprised by the confusion overall.
5. Will provide additional photos of system shortly.
Any input would be appreciated or comments related to this subject.
To get bluetooth audio to work you need the iPod kit (hard to find now, but check eBay) installed in the back of the command unit which will allow you to use a dongle like Tune2air so that you can play audio from your phone or tablet.

....if the phone pad cover at the front of the arm rest flips open and you have a key pad - the car should have the UHI socket in the center console - you can thus add a "puck" to get BT phone
the aux feature is there but turned off - 20 mins with a merc diagnostic kit to turn it on.... then various pins on the back of the NTG3.0 head unit will allow noise in
