Mercedes S 350
Petrol filter replacement
Hello,
I was told at a Mercedes that my Mercedes 221 S 350 L (it functions with Petrol, not diesel) does not need to have the petrol filter changed. Is that true?
Thanks.

Here in the U.S. (not sure where you are) fuel dispensers are equipped with filtration that screens to 10 microns, which is comparable to in vehicle fuel filters. So unless you're regularly fueling through some intermediate means, such as dirty fuel cans, the fuel in your tank is as clean as it is going to be. Fuel filters are now inside fuel tanks and some can be difficult to access, but should be good for at least 100K miles.

mostly today the fuel filter is made onto the in tank fuel pump assy along with level sensor.
so it is replace pump and you get all new other stuff.
check service manual for car and see if it lists fuel filter service.
