dealer parts are the correct spec and designed to last
budget crap of a similar colour is not as clever as u r thinking - and you don't use tap water as that's full of slave poison, that's not good for you or your engine
G48 is the OLD Blue - Mercedes-Benz Cars (vehicles built up until 04/2014, MB-Approval 325.0)
G40 is the later Pink - Mercedes-Benz Cars (vehicles built as from 05/2014, MB-Approval 325.6) - as dealers no longer sell 235.0 Blue - flush entire system and use the pink - as you won't get the air out you'll destroy the engine - enjoy

Ford designed cyl heads that crack between waterways and the exhaust port - and gaps between cyl bores with interesting drilling's that stop the head gasket sealing - and on the high power turbo ones they fitted the head-gasket upside down so the water didn't flow anyway.
Then they fit wet cam belts that deteriorate in ageing engine oil - alongside another even harder to reach belt that drives the oil pump
You have to admire quite how much they learned from other state of the art brands in their German factories
