2007 s550 keep completely resetting at startup

Has anyone had the issue of your car completely resetting every time at startup? No startup issues but it completely resets. The car is completely dead before starting so of course the remote doesn't work and I have to use the key to open the door each time. I thought the issue could be the auxiliary battery in the trunk although it was only 6 months old. I returned the battery to Mercedes and they gave me a new one. They did state the old battery test failed. I put the new one in and I am still having the same issue. Additionally, I have the TeleAid inop error visible in my instrument panel. This started about a week before the resetting issue. The car isn't trying to make a call but I do know the system is not operational. I am going to take it to the dealer to have the programming updated to show the teleaid unit is not present. I am told that will resolve that issue. Do you think the teleaid light being constantly illuminated is drawing on the electrical system? Maybe its constantly trying to make a call in the background? Please respond if you have any information that can assist.

they have two batteries - before being utterly robbed by a dealership - physically check out both batteries and the if the alternator is chargiing

expecting a dealer to achieve anything (in a remotely affordable manner) on these is like buying $3000 worth of lottery tickets - you lose 3k and nothing else chnages

LOL. I love your lottery ticket analogy and history has shown that comparison to be completely accurate. LOL

I purchased both batteries from the dealership in June of 2024. I should've checked the starter battery when I replaced the auxiliary battery last week. I will check that one also and thanks for mentioning the alternator because that's definitely could be an issue. Thanks again.

never played with the teleaid - mine doesn't have it - its in the boot behind the rear SAM - can you find and pull its fuse - or pull the trim at the back of the boot and disconnect it - quite likely that’s draining the battery overnight if its gone stupid

Had local automotive shop run tests on starter battery and alternator. Both tested good. I think the teleAid is constantly draining the battery.

Thanks for the tip. I'm having drain problems too...after about a week the car is completely dead like the op said. I will never use the tele aid, so will disconnect in case that is the problem.
