2010 E550, 273 Engine: 2012 S550, 278 Engine
The Central Gateway (CGW) has unsoldered pins at the wiring harness connection. Just suddenly I got several modules give errors and with BenzNinja’s help I discovered this problem.
I opened the CGW module and soldered the pins and no more problems. .
Unsoldered pins in CGW are very likely reason for the trouble and soldering them does not harm in any case. I highly recommend doing that if for nothing else but at least to rule it out.
CGW is located in the left end of the dash in my 2012 model. I don’t know for others than 2013 is the same.
Disconnecting and reconnecting the wire harness could bring help as if the pins move and get correct connection in the circuit board again. If it helps the problem for sure is with the loose pins.
