Help with W221 2006 S550 facelift tail light upper LED
I recently upgraded my 2006 W221 S550 with facelift tail lights, but the upper LED strip does not illuminate (please see attached picture).
I’ve read some suggestions in previous threads that it may involve SAM module coding or connecting additional wires, specifically something about “bridging pin 2 to pin 7.”
I’m trying to understand this safely and clearly. On my car’s pre-facelift harness, pin 7 already has a wire, and I’m unsure how to connect another wire to the same pin without damaging the connector or the wiring.
Could someone please explain the correct and safe way to wire the upper LED on a pre-facelift harness? Diagrams or step-by-step instructions would be greatly appreciated.

(although pre-facelift taillights are prettier imho)
