Magic body control versus 4matic
It looks like the 4matic version will be available in late fall, but the ordering guide lists the magic body control option as N/A for this model. Will this always be an either or choice, or will both be available on the same car in the near future?

I think it's either or. I was going for the 4matic but switched to RWD with MBC after realizing this.

It is indeed a disappointment that MBC/ABC and 4matic are mutually exclusive. I am very curious how they plan to treat this conflict for the upcoming S 63, which by all reports should come exclusively with AWD (the E does). Traditionally, all AMG S-classes have been equipped with ABC (most as standard; early 220 bring an exception).

but yeah, I was planning on 4M versus the MBC, seems like too many things
could go wrong with so many components for that system

Stuff will undoubtedly go wrong, as with all previous MB air suspension/ hydraulic systems- but according to your sig, you don't own cars out of warranty either so it that shouldn't be holding you back.

It seems 4Matics are a very north american thing...if it was more desirable overseas I bet you'd have 4M and MBC integrated.
Although maybe they'll debut MBC with 4M on the AMGs, although I can't picture an S65 with 4matic but I can picture with MBC, I can also picture S63s without MBC. Surprised me when they took ABC off the CL550 and required 4M, I know its not AMG but the S sedan could get ABC...
