Recall Campaign 2021030005 MAR21 – 2017-2020 117, 118, 156, 166, 167, 190, 205, 213, 222, 253, 257, 290 communication module might have been inadvertently deactivated, dealer will check the configuration and activate. Approximately 58 vehicles affected.
LI27.00-P-072627 MAR21 – 167, 205, 213, 253, 222 Hybrid (code ME05) might not be possible to start the vehicle again when an ignition off/on or drive range change is performed after shutdown, check the pins of the 12V interlock wiring harness A7255400000 for 725.017/725.037/725.047 transmission between ID 7250**03496707 & 7250**03722656.

LI27.00-P-073123 JUN21 – 217, 222 with 276.824 engine and 722.904 transmission harsh 3-2 and/or 5-4 downshift under certain circumstances, update of engine control unit and transmission software. If symptom still exists after performing mentioned work reset transmission up/down shift data via Xentry and perform transmission adaptation of shifts with cold, warm and hot transmission oil during road test.
LI82.20-P-073063 JUN21 – touchpad dimming function does not work and search lighting is either at maximum brightness or off (dependent on dimming signal) dimming functions of the instrument cluster and head unit display are not affected, replace touchpad if serial # in VeDoc (Vedoc > control units > TPAD > serial number) or part # matches # in attachment.

Service Campaign 2021060017 AUG21 – 2015-2017 222, 166 software of the power electronics control unit does not meet the current vehicle specifications temperature sensor may fail, dealer will update the software. Approximately 721 vehicles are affected.
Recall Campaign 2021070010 AUG21 – 2014-2020 117, 156, 205, 222, 253, 292 panoramic sunroof the stationary roof panel located between the windshield and the sunroof may not have been bonded correctly which could cause the panel to partially or fully detach from the vehicle, dealer will install a new panel. Approximately 14,909 vehicles are affected.
Recall Campaign 2021070032 AUG21 – 2020-2021 213, 222, 253, 257, 290 463 locking mechanism for the electrical connector on the side-impact crash sensors might not meet current production specifications, dealer will replace sensors. Approximately 138 vehicles are affected.

NHTSA ID 21V961 (MB # TBD) 2016-2020 118, 156, 167, 177, 205, 213, 222, 231, 238, 247, 253, 257, 290, 463 a leak may develop between the fuel rail and fuel injector due to trapped debris from the production process, dealer will replace the fuel rail and fuel injectors. Approximately 139 vehicles affected.

LI77.21-P-063617 3/22 - 222 with code 413/398 up to manufacturing date 09/2016 glass roof jams or cannot be opened drive unit makes rattling noises; left & right roof mechanism, drive cables, and if the drive unit shows the slightest signs of wear on the teeth must also be replaced.

An emission recall campaign is being conducted to remedy the situation, dealer will update engine control unit software. Approximately 1,812 vehicles affected.

I have a 2014 W222 S350 here in Australia, is there a place where I can enter my Vin to check if the relevant bulletins have been done on my car or a list of the bulletins in reference to my car? My car is only 1 month in my ownership, brought as a certified car with 2 years warranty so hoping to get everything sorted before this runs out. Thanks AP

Request MB dealer check Vehicle Master Inquiry (VMI) to confirm there are no outstanding Recalls and Service Campaigns together with all work that has been performed by all MB dealers to date for your VIN. Note dealer discretion to provide hard copy.
