Top Tier gas is most important. It means that the fuel is relatively clean and the tanks that hold the gas aren’t too old. Costco is Top Tier so you’re good there.
If you read forums like BITOG, which is mostly engineers and chemical junkies, you will learn that additives do almost nothing if the car is well cared-for. Top Tier fuel + frequent OCIs is key.
I run a bottle of Techron (20oz) every year but I don’t think it does a damn thing. If it makes you feel better, you can safely do the same.
Yes, the Jectron is what I use. I also use top tier 93 octane, so whether it does anything or not I don’t know. But for $30/year if it does even a little bit that’s fine by me.
It does help the Suburban noticeably. That V8 likes a good chemical reaming!
I run FCP every 6 months, cannot say if it works but Techron has been used in my 1984 300ZX and 2005 X-Terra for a million years and I haven't had one single issue with fuel injectors so will continue to do so
This stuff is a complete waste of $. Fuel today has cleaning additives. I've been driving fuel injected cars since '91 and have never used additives and have never had a problem. Gasoline producers wouldn't last long without cleaners.

I figured it would have minimal benefits if any, but as you know, in most cases we do these things as a piece of mind [mental health ...]. So, it still works at least mentally and the money does worth that feeling despite that it may have done nothing to the car, lol....
on modern direct injected cars it isn't as important to run cleaners because they don't wash the back of the valves etc. anyway. That being said, I have to think there would be some benefits to additives that lubricate the fuel system like the Lucas fuel system treatment. Gasoline being such a good solvent, I'm not sure how well the lubricants would survive in the system, but I could see it helping the injectors at the least.
There will always be a little carbon that can work its way past the rings, oil from the PCV that enters the cylinders especially on these turbo engines and don't forget the spark plugs as well. Modern high quality gas does have detergents, but adding some more will only make the cleaning action stronger. I can say for sure, I put two cans of Berryman in the F350 I bought (30ish gallon tank) because the 5.4 is port injected and god only knows how well it was maintained, and purely by the smell of the exhaust I could tell that stuff was working!
