I posted a link with some excerpts from the magazine about it over in the W212 section.
It's pretty funny when Car and Driver, which is constantly accused of being biased towards BMW calls out the 5'er for what it is.
edit: Unblocked K-A's post above to see what he had to say. Stay on topic in "your" thread... this from the king of hijacks? Hahahaha, I about spit my coffee out over this one.

As soon as I saw that it was you giving your thoughts on the car I was expecting you to give it an all time bashing but what you wrote was quite pleasant. It seems MB is sticking to their guns and their newest offerings seem to be top tier once again. I'm excited for the new W205 because in 3 or 4 years I'll be able to upgrade to one. My general rule was that I would stay one generation behind on whatever Benz I buy because there will be tons of DIYs and documentation of known problems available but it would be fun to park my butt into a CPO W205 when the time is right.

Does anyone have insight on when the factory will start "805" production? The MY change date seems to vary a lot, for the 221 I found mid June 2006 build date with 806 MY code while another one from mid June 2009 had already the 800 MY code. Any insight about the exact change?
Current orders for us have a build date on July at the moment which probably is well within the uncertainty range of the MY change time.
PS. thanks K-A for the review.
