Has anyone added the refrigerator option on their S?

When i was researching parts, there were two versions of the part that makes the tunnel through the rear seat, one was for the non reclining seats and he other was or the massaging/adjustable rear seat. I actually both both and still have the wrong on for my car around in the event that purchase the adjustable/massaging rear seat. I don't know if the W221 Fridge will fit in the W222, but some owners in the UK and Germany stated they have retrofitted the W222 fridge in their W221s - but I did not see how they did it.
.
.
Thanks

Just to resurrect this thread, I have just bought a 2016 S Class W222 and am in the process of retro-fitting the fride into the load compartment. I do not have the ski bag option so need to buy the tunnel liner and rear trim piece for the trunk along with the door and wiring loom. I have also retro-fitted an aftermarket carplay system that looks pretty much stock...
Some have asked if the W221 fridge can be used, I would say not as the "neck" part of the fridge, the part that passes through the rear seats, is a lot shorter on the W221 unit. The W222 one is longer to allow for cars that have the reclining rear seats as these sit further back in the trunk.
I have the fridge in my W221 which is now sat outside after being accident damaged in early June... None of the parts appear to be interchangeable
I can post more photos if people would like? I am also retrofitting the electric towbar option (trailer hitch) which does use a couple of parts from the W221. (I have that option on my 221 and have removed parts that I can reuse)
This is the view in the trunk behind the seats. I have already fitted the support frame for the fridge ready for the rest of the parts to arrive this week to my MB dealer here in the UK
1st picture is the aftermarket carplay, 2nd picture is the view in the trunk of the fridge bracket (waiting for other parts) 3rd picture is the W221 fridge, 4th is the W222 fridge

I'm also attempting the fridge retrofit. I have the fridge and was able to source all the supporting parts. However, I'm having trouble finding the "support frame," the piece shown in your photo of the trunk and where the two knob-screws in the fridge screw into. I know it's almost a year since, but if possible, would you be able to get me its part number?
Thanks a ton for any info,

Then you will need 4 of the spring nuts (That the plastic door and frame screw into) The part number for those is: A003 994 85 45
The part number for the cage nuts (that take the fridge securing screws) is A001 990 45 56 and you'll need two of those
Hope this helps

Thank you good sir. Tremendous help!
I see the A222-640-00-00 has been replaced with A222-640-01-00. All the US distributors mark the -00-00 as discontinued and no longer have stock.
I'll order the -01-00, but I'm wondering if the spring nuts already come installed in that version.
Thanks again and I'll post everything I bought, pictures and how it went,

Look forward to seeing the finished job.... Maybe you could tackle the trailer coupling after that... now that was a fun retrofit

New development on my front.
So i purchased the fridge off eBay for $650 including shipping (it was a best offer and the guy was only a state away) a few weeks ago. Prior to that, I'd seen a lot of sales for the fridge that had both part numbers A222-820-02-06 and A222-820-00-06 listed and i assumed they were interchangeable. MBs IPBs (illustrated parts breakdown) didn't help either, as the image for both was identical. Come to find out the -02-06 has a shorter neck than the -00-06 and my cars setup calls for the -02-06. I bought the -00-06, as it was the cheapest almost new condition i could find.
Just by looking at it, it seemed like you could modify one to be the other and that was indeed the case. Just last night i made my A222-820-00-06 into a A222-820-02-06. It wasn't too bad, but i've taken apart many-a gadgets and there were things to definitely look out for. With a permanent pen, i still need to cross off 0006 and put 0206 on the ID tag. FYI, you can go the other way too.
If anyone comes across this issue, let me know, i can provide a step-by-step.

Anyways, Mercteil helped me get the part numbers, the link for them is here. Now I just have to figure out the wiring harness...
Parts: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-Mer...-127632-2357-0
CKM did a video below but mine looks different.. His also has an extra bracket that Mercteil did not sell to me, they said the kit above is everything (he has 4 seater S class, mine is 5 seater with warmth and comfort)

Interesting to see how this thread has evolved. At the time the thread was created, I did not even have the W222. Now my retrofitted W222 fridge is on sale for anyone who is willing to collect it. Too difficult to send such a big item anywhere.
