I usually don't purchase one until a few years have passed. Most people usually dislike the CL or S coupe on arrival. I usually don't get excited about the new body style until a new one pulls up beside me in my old one.
Most people hate on what they can't afford, don't have or better yet doesn’t understand.
I usually laugh and politely ask them to stay in their lane.
There are a lot funny posts here. Never drove or own a big body coupe but post like your opinion matters.

I'm sure many naysayers of "expensive" Mercedes' love Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, Rolls, some Bentley's, Bugatti, etc. etc. I love most expensive cars, many that are way more expensive than an S Coupe, which isn't THAT damn expensive to garner hate because it's so out of reach (you can likely get the same design on the upcoming C and probably E Coupe's as well). Plus you'll probably see classic Mercedes discounts making it attainable under the 6 figures.
Every time something like this comes up, people get all uppity about their wealth on Mercedes boards. C'mon, fake diamond patterns and Swarovski crystals (which aren't even expensive really, I don't get the point, which is why I think it's so cheesy, much like the light up grille Star accessory) aren't really the epitome of "rich".

I also find it funny how that fragrance atomizer is only like $350, and heated steering wheel $400. These should be standard. I know if I was running Mercedes and launching a brand new S class, I'd make the fragrance option standard on all S classes.

This is Mercedes-BENZ, not Mercedes-Kardashian. It's like they're trying to lower the class level of their buyers. "Diamond pattern this, cheesy light-up Star that, fake scoops this, Swarovski Crystals that.....". I can't believe they put crystals in their lights. I don't think tasteful and sophisticated buyers will respond to that stuff as much as the braggart Hip Hop and Paris Hilton clientele that M-B seem to be depending on to keep promoting their products through Pop Culture (hence why I think they're doing this stuff).

Nothing new guys. Read every post - he's the expert on every car that comes out - yet owns none of them. I also can tell you that Lexus is a piece of garbage, but why would you listen to me if I don't actually own it.

I was expecting to trade my S sedan on this. I am going to do it.
Order guide should be out in May. Definitely Sport, Premium, Driver assistance & heated panels.
May go Iridium Silver/Bengal Red or stick with Mag Black & go saddle brown on the interior

They also have a new tech in where the cars leans into the curve (by 2.5 degrees).

I took E63S factory demo instead with $20k discount,thrown new Sottozeros,etc, thinking it would be a lesser hit in the Fall when possibly trading for the S63 Coupe.
It was the right decision.....

We'll I've owned more than you, as daddy doesn't always buy me a new generation S Class every 7 years. Sounds kinda boring anyway.
