I only have one disappointment with my 2014 S550 purchase. I wish the Heads-up Display was available. Now I see that the S550 Coupe will have the HUD. Oh well. It's not the end of the world. I will have to survive with the awesome driver information monitor.

I should still be able to decide on the HUD option (it is an option for us). I just wonder if it is of any real use or is it a must have show off feature. Costs us $2700.

as if the twobig glaring screens in front of you and 24295 buttons and lights aren't distracting enough.

In my opinion, if it's available, you should get it. We have it on my wife's RX450h and it is quite useful. But perhaps with all the info on the 2 big screens of the S550, it's not that big of a deal.

I've had it in a couple other cars over the past decade. Loved the feature and would love to have it again. Was very surprised the S-Class didn't have HUD for 2014, would have loved to have it on our 2014.

I wish my 14 had it as well. Very shocked we didn't.

Not a deal breaker but I would love to have it as well .I believe it will be available in 2015 model along with 9 speed tranny

No need to wait for the 9-speed tranny. HUD and touch-pad appear in the German configurator and price list already, have been there for a while when there is no sign about the 9-speed transmission yet.

Yep on the 2015 models that go on sale in April/May. The 2015 production change over is next week I believe.
