Gold Fittings?

Gold Fittings?
We have a 2015 S550 on order which will be delivered in June.
I've bought the car mostly for my parents so they are deciding on color, etc.
They want to have the chrome fittings on the exterior of the car gold plated. They had this done over 25 yrs ago on their 1989 MB 420SEL.
Any ideas on where this can be done? We're in SoCal but open to sending the parts out to be done if required.

I have no idea where to get gold plating.
IMO it won't look good, but obviously they think it will. It takes all sorts of likes/dislikes to keep the economy moving forward. If we all liked the same thing, think of how boring things would be. Or think of how much better our cars will look compared to one like this! The contrast will speak for itself.

My wife's old Acura TL had gold emblems on a metalic pearl white car and I thought it looked great. Attractiveness of color combo's are very subjective so I'd say if they want gold trim by all means do it!

Honestly, I'm against the idea, but their car is going to be Diamond White and it might actually look somewhat decent.

Problem is all the chrome is actually plastic, so you might want to get it wraped with gold vinyl or something instead.

Do a gold vinyl wrap on the chrome pieces instead of plating. Will look pretty much the same and it'll be much cheaper. There's many shops in the SoCal area that specialize in vinyl wraps.
