Custom Ordered 2015 S550. Pricing?
We have an ordered 2015 S550 arriving later this month.
As far as pricing goes, what would be a fair price? How about a good but realistic price?
I know when the 2014's came out, most people were paying sticker. Our car was delayed from March until now due to the exclusive nappa leather but we now have a 2015 instead of a 2014.
Thanks for any advice on pricing.

I got a nice discount on a 2015...then again I went in Memorial Day and it was very slow. Also have bought a CLS550 from them in past and just dealt with General Manager directly

I think one of my contacts can get an attractive deal on an S-Class but I'm honestly not sure what discount exactly since I didn't ask about that car. He may be able to get you a decent deal under MSRP, though. You can PM me for more details if you like- it's worth a shot, especially if you're ordering a car since there's not really anything to lose.

Good info guys. Thank you. Our car has a MSRP of $135,820 so it is almost fully loaded and should hit the VPC on June 20th.

That's just sort of how I see your situation- but I can be completely wrong.

I don't know exactly how your situation will play out since you've already ordered the car and it doesn't appear that you've talked about pricing yet. Did you place a refundable deposit on the car, or a non-refundable deposit? The reason I ask is because I'm ordering a 2015 E63 Wagon (just waiting for ordering banks to open). I shopped around at a few dealers to see what kind of deal I could get and ultimately agreed on a discount/price before I placed the order. This way there's no surprises down the road. If you're already committed to the car, it would seem that the dealer would be less likely to give you a good offer with any substantial discount.

Bottom line - DO NOT REPEAT THE SAME MISTAKE unless you are willing to pay full-blown MSRP (or perhaps with insignificant discount that does not make any difference given the high-value purchase)

Well, the good news is the sales guy is a friend, but ultimately, he is a sales guy. I just asked because he did say he would take care of us. I'm going to use the prices in this thread as a gauge of how good of a deal he gives us.
He doesn't really have us over a barrel because I'll walk away from the car if I feel the deal isn't good enough. Fully refundable deposit.

I am not seeing significant discounts on the 2015 S550 in south Florida. You are more likely to see a healthy discount on a 2014 model and only a modest discount on a custom order 2015.

Yep, you need to call around and work it. Took me about 4 days of calling, but like anything, if you want it and know how to negotiate you will get a great discount. Hint, stay away from chain (autonation, sonic, etc) and talk with Manager NOT floor guys...have fun.

Pictures don't mean anything. I'm not saying he did not buy the car. This particular dealer doesn't have any instock '15 S550. Very hard to believe they would discount that much on something that just arrived. When I asked him for dealer contact info he doesn't respond which raises another red flag.
