Noticed these air bubbles, or something on my windshield.....upper left hand corner on the passengers side: does anyone have ANY idea what could have caused this? Are they air pockets? Should I be concerned?
Any feedback could help: also on another note, the dealer ordered a hardcopy manual for me just a couple of days after delivery and I am STILL waiting for it LOL.......
Someone else on the forum had this issue but it was in the top middle affecting the cameras.
MB should replace this under warranty since it is a defective windshield. Not sure how they might respond since it is not affecting the cameras. But I would be adamant about a replacement of the windshield since this appears to be a bubbling inside the glass.

Picked up my 2014 two weeks ago and everything was fine. Started noticing areas on the windshield in front of the cameras that looked "bubbled" or like there were layers separating in the glass. Started to get the "Pre Safe may not function properly...) message which I assume is because the camera couldn't see through bubbles.
Proceeded to get worse and worse and also started in other areas around the edge of the windshield.
In the shop now, have to replace the windshield apparently.
Service department indicated that just got a notice from MB on this issue and all wanted to come take a look.
What bothers me is the fact that there are these yellowish brownish dots on my W221. I think it's from bees. (Your W221 has it from the pics) Anyone have a thought what it is?

Not cool if you have to replace the entire windshield on your brand new $12xK S Class already. I'd shed tears.
On a side note: I wonder if you're allowed to stand behind workers like a stereotyped a-hole car owner to oversee them doing work on your car. Would help ease the pain of these situations.

I will indeed be receiving a new windshield due to this apparent defect....the shop foreman mentioned he won't even have confirmation of the order for up to 48 hours, which I found funny, but at least it isn't a huge crack or something really bad
keep an eye out on your glass for these weird separation bubbles

I would like to supervise the worker who replace the windshield. base on my experience, at MB dealer, some worker SIT ON THE dash board and steering wheel to while they hold the windshield to put it on place.
sorry I have to swear, but **** SIT ON TOP OF THE STEERING WHEEL
