2015 S63 B pillar noises
Have had my 2015 S63 in the shop three times for a metallic pinging noise from the B pillar. They can't fix it. It's from the seat belt retractor area. The service advisor said there is nothing else they can do. Surprised that a $170k auto sounds like this after only 1800 miles.
Anyone else found B pillar rattle/noise issues related to the seat belt retractor?
Anyone wanna buy a 2015 S63 AMG?

Ditto, no such answer. If they can't fix it, tell them to get you a new car.
On another note, I had that exact same problem in my wife's car and they looked and looked. They eventually found that it was coming from something loose in the sunroof.

You sold the car because they could not fix the B pillar noise?
Why would you take that loss? It's a brand new car and that does not seem fair to you.
Why did you decide not to take advantage of the lemon law in your state as described here, http://www.njconsumeraffairs.gov/ocp/lembroc.pdf
That really is disappointing to hear. Sorry this has happened.

I don't think this is a problem with all of them. In fact I bet most are fine. Just bad luck on my part. The lack of MBUSA interest was the most disturbing. They basically leave it to the dealers to call the shots. This is my 5th MB so they have lost a loyal customer. But Daimler is too big to care. My 2 other current MB's are fine. I expected too much from a mass produced car billed as competing with the high end.
With the Bentley any unresolved issue locally is immediately escalated by the dealer to Crewe for advice. If MB really wants to compete at that level they need to distinguish CLA from S class service lines. I think that will always be MB's problem at the higher end.

I agree cars have normal noises, but your complaint sounds different as you describe it. I don't know, I haven't heard it. There are also other cars around and either they have that noise or they don't.
I hate to use lawyers but, I would use one before I'd take the hit on a 1800 mile brand new car. On the other hand, I am quite certain my dealer would never allow it to get to that point. He would find a way to fix my car.
The thread you posted thankfully had a good ending and apparently Mercedes Benz was wrong with their position, but a good dealer solved the problem anyway.
I assume that hit was close to $20,000. That's a lot of money for 1800 miles.

You can't lemon law a car for a rattle. The defect basically has to make the car unusable. Most people don't realize how weak these lemon laws are with respect to consumer protection.

In California, I don't believe the standard is usable vs. unusable. Other states I am not sure.

I'm guessing OP makes at least 20K per week so he's not worried about going hungry

the Wraith isn't much to look at IMO, at that price point seems there are many other options

And this is how you find brand new cars with huge savings ... A guy like the op sells it over something like his issue. Perhaps the new owner takes it to another dealer and they totally fix it under warranty... That's a deal
