*Slightly* New Instrument Cluster in 2015 vs 2014

Just thought I would share a quick difference I found on the 14's vs the 15's!

The 14's have a beige/black instrument cluster theme with regular speedometer readings, while the 15's have a blue/red/black instrument cluster theme with AMG-like sport font speedometer readings!

Also noticed a few 15's don't have the touchpad, but have the new instrument cluster interface with the new font.

Does anyone have a different picture of the 2014 cluster showing the color differences. From these pictures I don't see the color differences you are speaking about.

2014 Cluster per MB video

The main difference I can see is the mileage. Also the 2015 display seems bigger. The photos are not scaled equally which makes it difficult for me to compare the fonts too, are they really different?

Is the change between MY 14 versus 15 or is it about AMG cars versus standard clusters?

I agree. I don't see it. I only see the little difference between the lines where the miles are.

Maybe someone has further clarifications.

Look at the 6 in 160.

The fonts are different - it's subtle, but there.

Yup. Well done.

Funny though, if you look at the mileage, it has the old font that matches the 2014. So, only the speedo was changed?

The lines in the middle of the odometer have changed from beige to red and the reflection on the 'chrome' rings have changed slightly as well.

You guys can't see the font change? You all need glasses if you can't see it!

MY14 vs 15 cause texex91's '15 S550 has the instrument cluster with the AMG font as seen in his thread :https://mbworld.org/forums/new-s-cla...ports-pkg.html

A little off topic but this has been bugging me and I can't find a concrete answer. What are the red lines on the speedo at 35 and 55? I'm sure it's a simple answer!

Most in-city/in-town speed limits are 35. Most state's highways are 55...

Does not seem to solve the problem, I already have glasses. Or did you mean we should wear them too?

The point was that the changes are really minor. What could be the reason for this when the font isn't used consistently. Or is that the exactly the point, to make dials different from the rest.

PS. I do seem to have the MY15 looks (not an AMG car), I would never have noticed this without some help from this thread.
