Negotiating on an S550. Pricing input needed
All:
I've been looking at S550s for a while and my somewhat unique preferred configuration has become available and is at port as a stock order for another dealer. MSRP is $116,350.
My dealer said they'd do $4250 off MSRP if I pull the trigger and they get it before it is shipped to the original dealer.
Does anyone have any input on what kind of deal should be possible? Or is their offer solid?
I'm planning to lease for 30 or 36 months, 15k/yr. I would also add the 3yr maintenance plan.

I came up with a msrp of 119,600 and the dealer is giving me 10 k discount. This is on a car i am ordering not available in stock with my options. Three otherdealers, 2 in phoenix az and one other here in md, cannot touch this.

It is still difficult to get a significant discount on a 2015 S550 that is custom ordered, particularly in areas where Auto Nation and other large corporations own multiple dealerships. It is much easier to get a discount on a 2014 model that is in stock. Getting $4000 off the MSRP on a car equipped with the options you want sounds like a very good deal. You will not find a dealer in the Chicago or Naples, FL area offering $10,000 off a custom ordered 2015 S550.

Heck of a deal on an ordered car. Seems to good to be true. Sounds like a no brainer if you can ink that deal since I doubt you will find another dealer willing to do that considering it appears you are getting the car below invoice price.

I did not go to Fletcher Jones MB, but I went to 5 suburban dealerships in May and none were discounting on 2015 S550 customer orders. Congratulations on your excellent deal!

So…I did the deal last night.
$132,335 + $999 3yr/30k maintenance plan.
They were sitting on the car for a couple months.
I got $7500 off plus (according to them), $1000 extra on my trade.
$8500 would be about 6.4%.

BTW, the Germantown dealer is an excellent dealer at all levels.
