Easy entry exit

I just discovered something new. I thought there was something wrong with my front seat memory. After getting into the car the seat would position itself into the memory position but would not recline as far as I have it set. After two service visits, we checked it against another S550 and the same thing occurred. Apparently when the easy entry and exit function is enabled, the seat can only recline to a certain point automatically. At that point you need to hold down the memory button to recline to the stored memory. This only occurs when you set the recline in memory pasta certain point.
I guess you discover something new all the time, albeit this one is annoyng.

Speak with the shop foreman there “may” be a setting in Star Diagnostic System (SDS) to increase both seat & recline travel. I know there was an easy entry/exit reset & option to increase seat travel back further for the 211 – worth a shot to ask/explore.

I did speak with the service manager. It was his idea to compare it to another S550. He didn't know of any setting changes available.

Almost obvious. Did you ask him to find out if there are any?

Just checked Xentry diagnosis and there seem to be related menus but those are password protected and I cannot access them to check the details. The workshop would need to request a password too, don't accept them to stop at what is available straight away.

Ok so the solution for me was to turn off the easy entry option. Then set your seat preference. Then turn it back on. See if this works for you.

Just tried your suggestion. It didn't work for me.
