Finally today is the day: pickup later this afternoon. That means the car is delivered about 2 weeks faster than anticipated. For those who are waiting as well, a short timeline wrap up: after the vessel hit Brunswick and unloaded the car, the car was released from the VPC to the trucking company within 24 hours. And within another 48 hours the car arrived at the South Florida dealership. They got their hands on it right away, to get it ready for pickup in less than 24 hours. So overall: from vessel unloading to pickup at dealer ship it took about 4 days. Pretty good I'd say.

Thanks a lot everyone. Needless to say that driving it is absolutely amazing. Also the interior lighting at night is stunning. I guess it takes a while though to get through all the bells and whistles and learn about them.
@MBZSW22: No, I did not get the fridge as I didn't like the amount of trunk space taken by the fridge. The trunk is already reduced due to the Burmester sound system, so I didn't want to reduce it even more.

It can be easily and swiftly removed when the additional trunk space is needed.

Did we ever get an answer on this? What brand of tires did they install? Run flats or conventionals? If conventials, did they provide a spare and a jack? If so, PLEASE post photos of spare, showing the location in the trunk. Thanks!

On the other hand, the designo interior and leather is really the same as the Exclusive Napa Leather interior with the exception of the badging, leather trim around the floor mats and a few color choices.
Where you start to see some differences is in the Semi-Aniline interior but there again, it is also the same leather as the other two aforementioned interiors, just different designs, colors and some quilting.

@LovinMercedes: thanks for this information. I didn't know that.
@usctrojans1: LovinMerceds answered it already. Let me add some additonal information: for me the difference between the standard nappa and designo wasn't much, may be because I wanted a black interior anyway. I have the black interior with the burl walnut. I would need to pull out my good camera to get a picture which does the color combination justice, as the one I attached above is over exposed. The contrast of the black interior and the LED interior lighting is just awesome. I personally was always wondering if the S600 without designo has the badge in the backrest: it does, it says 'V12'. If you wish to have some pictures for specific details, let me know. I find more and more little things which show a lot of attention to detail by MB: like the illuminated 'Mercedes Benz' in the headlights.
Regarding the alloys I chose: I love alloys and I have 21" on my Porsche Cayenne. On the S600 I felt like the standard 19" multispoke alloys are just perfect in terms of 'elegance'. But as with all of this: it's personal preference, and I'm glad everyone configures their car differently giving us a nice variety of cars to look at.
One remark about the High End Burmester: I have Burmester since 3 years in my Porsche and I thought it can't get any better. The one in the S600 is slightly better. Amazing!

Yes, the V12 badge is on all 4 seat backs.
The tires I got are Michelin MXM4 ZP (zero pressure), which means run-flat.

So, what is that? Is it like the stuff they sell at Pep Boys, that is like an aerosol can filled with some sort of a gooey sealant and enough compressed air to both seal and inflate the tire? I would imagine that such a kit could be used on any similar passenger car tire, correct? So, if I get a new S550, switch out the run flats for conventional tires and put one or two of these "kits" in the trunk, I should be pretty good to go, right?

Never used it so don't know how well it works.

So, in a $167,000.00+, full size, reasonably gigantic, S600 ultra luxury sedan, this 110+ year old company gives their customers an aerosol can that will HOPEFULLY get you off the road and to a safe place, where the guy at the tire shop can say something like "ain't never even seen a tire that size before, I'll have to order one from the supplier in Omaha. Maybe it'll be here in a week--if they have one. There's a Motel 6 up the road a bit." You know, before I take a new S cross country, I really think I need a spare.

Will try to get some more pics done soon.
Regarding the ride: I can only compare to the 2007 S600 I had, which had conventional tires. I don't feel the ride being stiff at all and honestly I would be surprised someone would notice a big difference in every days driving due to the suspension this car has. I did not spend a single second so far thinking about replacing my tires. Which means I don't worry about Aerosol cans and stuff like that. The tires as such are also not unusual size. They are on stock at several online dealers, and my tire place around the corner, which is a family owned one store business usually gets all tires within 24 hours. If I had problems with buying new tires: then on my 295/35 21 tires on my Cayenne. some tire places even refused to touch this car as were afraid of liability issues.
