When an automotive writer or editor takes a car out on the German autobahn, they're usually looking to write something about blistering fast speeds. I would consider it or the diesel if they're brought here in the US. I miss my Diesel engine economy and the 800+ mile range, even though the 449 hp 516 TQ S550 acceleration is cool, it doesn't do anything for my fuel economy or range.
In town driving for errands would be better with the S550 plug in hybrid.

It'll be interesting what the EPA rated mileage will be.
In Europe, the car has been rated at 84mpg.
Since it's a hybrid, this will vary based on the type of driving even though there is a fair amount of software programming built-in to optimize economy

I'm interested in this as most of my driving is around town. Really curious about how it feels to drive vs. regular one.
