Pretty sure it’s been discussed many times – S550 vs Maserati Quattroporte. However, was thinking of getting a smaller car for the garage. Nothing competes with the S, IMO, however may consider another luxury to try out. I do not like the E, no offense to owners. The only other “smaller” car that’s high end is the Ghibli. And it looks beautiful, but makes me think too much Chrysler in it.

Don’t want the coupes like the CLS, A7, Panamera because I need a full back seat for family. What else is there?
Big or small, regardless. Coming from a 2007 S550, and about to get the 2015 MY S550, are there any other options I have? I’m thinking no haha.

RR Ghost, BMW 7, Audi A8/S8, Bentley Mulsanne, Bentley Flying Spur, Jaguar XJ.... Those cars all more or less compete in the same segment. None are as technologically advanced as the S Class.

No other car can substitute any W222 / W221 at all . We have read that even Rolls Royce Ghost can get behind it . May be Phantom, Mulsanne but these are anything but stylish elegant cars .Not to mention ridiculous price tag for these at all .
