Euro Delivery and Herbert Haemmer of Escondido MB
Dear all,
I wish to express my gratitude to Herbert and share my experience. I am not an employee or have any interest in Escondido MB dealership. Just a man who is happy and wishing to give credit where it's due.
I am a dentist in So Cal. This car was for my wife.
It was not my first rodeo. I've been to Germany for euro del before and am a fan of German autobahn and Nurburgring. I am a gear head and an amateur track guy. Been to Nurburgring few times prior to this delivery.
After visiting and talking w my local MB dealer, I was utterly disappointed with its lack of knowledge and willingness for an euro del.
Found Herbert here and other web sites. A German national who resides in US and an expert in Euro delivery.
I could not be happier.
Discount was not a huge issue for me. If you wish to order an S Klasse, 1 percent more discount is not going to break your bank. What is more important is to receive more hands on service and convenience of expert's arrangements. I shall post more info and photos of my journey as time allows me. Thanks for reading this thread and I will be more than happy to answer any questions.

Drove to Munich. Nice drive and takes about 2 1/2 hours. Stayed at Sofitel by the train station. Most convenient and luxurious accommodation in Munich IMHO. First time to Munich for my family, my third.

Fantastic...It was great meeting your family that day..My journey was similar to yours..I travelled through Black forest, Munich, Salzberg, Innsbrouck, Lake Como, Milan and finally Geneva. love the S class..no car is better IMO..I will post to a thread my Euro experience as well...
